The “Sicilian” scenes of The Godfather were shot in the villages of the Messina area. At Bar Vitelli in Savoca, Michael Corleone asks for Apollonia’s hand: the place is still almost identical to 1972.
Montalbano’s cuisine, in the Ragusa area
The series Inspector Montalbano made Punta Secca, Scicli and Ragusa Ibla famous. The inspector is also a gourmet: on the seafront of Punta Secca you can enjoy the seafood dishes he loves so much.
