Emily in Paris: The Real Restaurants in Rome

With season 5 (2025), Emily in Paris added a new Italian chapter to its map: Emily moves to run the agency’s Rome office, and the show delivers a genuine tour of Rome’s most exclusive restaurants, before closing the season in Venice.

The real restaurants of Rome

Unlike many productions, the venues here are real and individually identifiable: Zuma, a high-end Japanese restaurant inside Palazzo Fendi with a view of the Spanish Steps; Settimo, on the rooftop terrace of the Sofitel hotel on Via Lombardia; Il Giardino Ristorante, the rooftop of Hotel Eden; and the back garden of Hotel de Russie, one of Rome’s most photographed spots. Even the agency’s Rome offices were filmed in a real location: the historic Fendi headquarters, the 1940s rationalist building known as the “Square Colosseum”.

The Venice finale

The last episode, titled Veni, Vidi, Venezia, takes the characters to Venice Fashion Week. Filmed between August 5–15, 2025, it features St Mark’s Square, Campo Santa Maria Nova and the church of San Francesco della Vigna, where the fictional fashion show is held. For lodging, the show uses real hotels like the Hotel Danieli and the St. Regis Venice.

A luxury itinerary, between Rome and Venice

Retracing Emily’s itinerary means alternating rooftop aperitivos over Rome’s skyline with strolls along Venice’s canals: a route through some of Italy’s most exclusive addresses, from historic hotels to rooftop bars.
