A literary café founded in 1914, at the heart of the Trieste of Svevo and Saba. Liberty-style interiors with wooden masks and marble tables, today also a bookshop and restaurant. One of Italy's most celebrated historic cafés.

Some scenes of the Sky series starring Luca Zingaretti are shot in the café's interiors, among the Trieste locations used by the production alongside Piazza Oberdan, Ponterosso and the Porto Vecchio.
Aperto nel 1914, l’Antico Caffè San Marco è il caffè letterario di Trieste: quello di Italo Svevo e Umberto Saba, con le maschere di legno alle pareti e i tavolini di marmo, oggi anche libreria e ristorante. La serie Sky Il Re con Luca Zingaretti vi ha girato alcune scene d’interni, durante le riprese triestine.
