A historic café on Via Vittorio Veneto, opened in 1948, the real heart of the Roman 'dolce vita' that inspired Fellini's film. A symbol of glamorous 1960s Rome, it closed in 2008.

    The real worldly hangout on Via Veneto that inspired Fellini: here, in real late-1950s Rome, paparazzi photographed stars and the jet set — the very scene the director later recreated on a soundstage at Cinecittà for the film.

Su Via Veneto, la strada che ispirò La dolce vita, il Café de Paris è stato per decenni il salotto del jet set romano — il luogo reale dove i paparazzi fotografavano le star, la stessa scena mondana che Fellini portò poi sullo schermo. Aperto nel 1948 e chiuso nel 2008, resta un simbolo della “dolce vita” degli anni ‘60.
